Public Sociology Talk on Human Trafficking Stereotypes

I’ve designed and taught several undergraduate and graduate courses. I have experience teaching distance education courses as well as face-to-face courses. These courses include: Criminological Theory, Human Trafficking and the Law, Global Crime and Justice, Family Violence, Specialty Courts, Environmental Crimes, Survey of Criminology, Social Deviance, and Principles of Sociology.

I am especially passionate about teaching in the areas of Globalization (including Global Crime such as Human Trafficking); Theory; Race, Class, Gender and Crime; Corporate Deviance; and Environmental Deviance.

I practice various pedagogical approaches which involve stimulating critical thinking skills and sociological investigation through inquiry. This includes the use of integrated data analysis modules which allow students to learn course material through data analysis in the classroom.
